Additional Notes
Anna Paquin, at age nine, responded to a newspaper ad and was eventually chosen from 5,000 other girls to play the role of the incredibly precocious child that we love to hate. Paquin’s performance earned her the Academy Award for Best supporting actress in a film, becoming the second youngest winner in history. This was for a film that, at the time, she was not allowed to see.
