Additional Notes
This outfit was originally designed and constructed for Ms. Garland who, due to illness, was unable to perform the part. Susan Hayward was quickly cast in the role. When the film was completed, Ms. Garland acquired the garment and wore it in her record-breaking performance at the PALACE in 1967. Photos included test shot of Garland and test shot of Hayward for the role. Also are several small photos of Garland performing at the Palace in similar outfit. This outfit was also later for by Kay Medford in an episode of "Starsky & Hutch,"(Murder at Sea, 1976 as Edna Zilinka) and was worn by Sharon Tate in a fashion shoot probably sometime around the time of the film. Multi-layer brooch set with rhinestones and round faux emerald stone created by Kathleen Lynagh 2014.
