Fitted long sleeve black/burgundy silk brocade gown, bamboo print; V-neckline, fish tail, sleeves and bust ornamented with spiders in black blue iridescent beads. black rhinestones and small blue square stones and fringed silver lame fabric, shoulders, sleeves and fish tail panels ornamented with black lace, at sleeve cuffs with same ragged black lace trim and ragged black silk chiffon trim, panels on the train have snaps that can allow the fish tail to open up while dancing. [Bill Hargate Costumes label sewn into garment that reads "Angelica- Dance # 1" and is hand inscribed "P-200"].

Anjelica Huston was an Oscar winning actress that came from a famous Hollywood family. Her father was actor and director John Huston and her grandfather was actor Walter Houston. As a small child she would sit with the ghoulish comic books of “The Addams Family” created by Charles Addams and practice mimicking the face of Gothic the comedic matriarch in the mirror. Years later, she would be cast as Morticia, the slim vamp with extremely pale skin and extremely long black hair. The character was a perfect for the actress and she received Golden Globe nominations for “The Addams Family” 1991 and “Addams Family Values (1993). Unusual for a sequel, “The Addams Family Values” was considered a better film that the first film because it dared to go darker with its adult and extremely morbid jokes. It is considered a modern film classic.

Oscar and Tony nominated costume designer, Theoni V. Aldridge was to become one of the most prominent costume designers. She remained faithful to the images of the cartoon characters. Morticia was always dressed in body hugging black gowns with ragged sleeves hems. This costume was worn in the scene where Morticia and Gomez perform the tango.
