Additional Notes

Christina Pickles came from a British acting family and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. It is no surprise that her acting accomplishments would far exceed her performance in ‘Masters of the Universe.” She basically represents the power of good and banters with Skeletor with great lines of philosophy. Locked in Skeletor's tubular force field, she ages as her powers diminish. The actress would later go on to win multiple Emmys, although she is probably most recognizable for being Rachel’s mother in the long running series ‘Friends.”

‘Masters of the Universe’s goal was to be a good film that would make a lot of money and be the next “Star Wars” of the 80’s. But what they ended up making was a low budget film that received somewhat poor reviews and disappointing fan’s expectations. It only became a cult classic many year later.

Costume designer, Julie Weiss, crated a white shining costume costumes ornamented with beads and crystals and the white bowling ball headdress spiked with plastic crystals which laterally lit up in her tubular energy field.
