Additional Notes

Meg Foster was basically hired for the character of Evil-Lyn, the “Hench-woman” to Skeletor, because of her piercing blue eyes and she based her character on Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth. Her corroboration with Frank Langella in developing their characters, certainly enhanced the film with her subtext of a perceived relationship with Skeletor, who eventually spurns her. In the end, she abandons him to meet his fate. This depth of character development made her and Skeletor the most compelling characters in the comic book movie.

Costume designer, Julie Weiss, designed her costume, creating a beautiful, armored, caped warrior and it was instrumental in helping the actress create her character. It was so cumbersome and restrictive, she was forced to move in a certain way. All of Ms. Foster's hair was pulled back into the silver skull cap, bringing all the attention for her face and eyes.
