Crimson period cloak and matching headpiece. Cloak with extremely long train is of crimson fabric, completely woven with crimson ribbon in a crossing pattern, double rows of gold brocade at shoulders, red silk and gold thread in a geometric pattern at front, trimmed with red suede and lined at collar and front panels with metallic gold brocade; matching tall headpiece.

This garment was worn in the Great Hall scene. John Truscott received the Academy Award for Best Costume design for his work on this film.
