Additional Notes

Controversial actor, writer and director Woody Allen has produced one film a year since the 1980’s and never lost his sense of style or his ear for dialogue. “Small Time Crooks” is another of his Manhattan based comedies with him as the bumbling husband who sets out to rob a bank, but becomes a millionaire from the business created to cover the plan.

His nouveau riche casual new wardrobe, created by Suzanne McCabe perfectly represents the casual New York moneyed style from the linen suit, Versace silk shirt and Italian loafers.

Worn in scenes with May (Elaine May) having Chinese food, walking along river, in her apartment and scenes with Frenchie (Tracey Ullman) at apartment and deciding to break up.
