Additional Notes

Angela Lansbury three week stint in the show was a dream come true for Lansbury. Her approach for the show brought attention to the character of Anna, who is the protagonist of the show. This was different in the shows that starred Yul Brynner, where the Kings character drew the attention. Photographs and a few sound recording exist of her performance, but those that saw it loved the take on the show. She was nominated for the 1978 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical.
Tie at neck was later change to a plaid print for later production.
