Additional Notes

There was some talk of nepotism when Tori Spelling (daughter of Arron Spelling, one of the richest men in Hollywood and the producer series), got the role of Donna in the series “Beverly Hills 90210.” Despite the bad press and the bad reviews, she stayed with the series for its run from 1990 – 2000.

The series involved the friendship and romantic lives of a group of friends living in Beverly Hills as they navigated through high school and eventually college and experienced almost every topical issue of the day. Even though the show premiered with a somewhat lack luster premiere, it went on to become one of Fox’s top shows.

Multiple designers created the fashions for the characters as the years passed. Dianne Kennedy designed the costumes for the series from 1990 – 1993. In this episode, she created this costume when the character goes to Paris, in hopes of breaking into the modeling industry, only to have her hopes dashed (Episode "Sex, Lies & Volleyball." First aired 8/5/93).
