Joan Rivers at 'Reunion at Bernard College' Designed by Bob Mackie

Custom-made red silk letterman's jacket. The jacket is ornamented throughout with red bugle beads and trimmed at closure and cuffs with two inch band of solid black bugle beads and silver rocaille beads and trimmed at right sleeve with two inch band of black jet bugle beads and silver rocaille and trimmed at left of chest with large black bugle beaded "B". The jacket is fully lined with black silk and has a BOB MACKIE label. Also included is a royal blue bugle beaded top with long sleeves and tie waist detail. The piece was probably not created for the jacket.

Reunion at Bernard College

The jacket was created for Ms. Rivers reunion at Bernard College, circa 1985. Acquired from Marcia Tyselling who worked for Ms. Rivers and owned Starwares on Main. Not confirmed she actually wore the sweater at any events.
