Barbara Streisand as Fanny Brice in 'Funny Girl' Designed by Irene Sharaff (Possibly)
Description
Two triangular shaped black velvet panels beaded in feather motif with small silver, clear beads, and sequins, wide end is scalloped and the long ends are bordered with circles of small white beads bordered with sequins. The two panels do not appear to be exactly the same size.
The story behind the pieces are they were to create a collar for the final number sung by Streisand in the film, but were cut at the last minute and the decision was made to go with the simple v-neckline on a black dress.
No information has been found regarding this change. But, the workmanship on the pieces are amazing.
